March 30th, 1915.
It's been a few long months since I've started my search. My search of who I am, and how I got here, where he is. I have to find my brother, I have to get him back..
The golden haired boy stood at about 5'7. His shoulders were broad his eyes an off hazel color. His hands pressed hard against the brick wall in front of him. Warm water rushed down his back, and a soft sigh left his lips. He had snuck into another hotel to spend the night. It never seemed to do much harm since he managed to get out before the owner could realize. He always left the room as it was and never brought anyone other than himself. Not that he truly knew anyone, everyone always claimed to know him.
He stood there for a moment letting the warm water do its job. He felt his muscles become relaxed and the soap run out of his hair and off of his body. It felt nice to just, stop. His hand shot out and he quickly turned off the running water. He stepped from the damp tub and started to throw on his clothes. Wringing out his long hair he then tossed it up into a ponytail. Peeking his head out of the nearby window he noticed the town was still sleeping, but by the looks of it, morning had just arrived. The town would be awake soon, and that would be his signal to leave.
He grabbed his red coat and tossed it on. Luckily he was on the first floor so he easily leapt out and made his way down the street. He pulled a map from his pocket, as he could tell he was now in the west. He let out a soft sigh as he tried to figure out a way around central city. He'd have to travel to through the south and make his way into the east. For some reason whenever he had laid his eyes on this map they were always drawn to Reole. Maybe memories of his brother or signs of his brother's return would lie there.
He quickly folded the map then placed it in his pocket. His eyes narrowed as he spotted windows opening and the streets become lively. An older woman struggled to get her flower cart unlocked and ready. As he made his way over to assist her the ground rumbled and an explosion was heard soon after. His eyes widened as he turned his attention towards the center of the city. Screams and cries soon followed as a pillar of black smoke rose into the sky.
Alphonse quickly sprinted towards the commotion. As he arrived, he saw a crowd of people, along with people in blue outfits, "The military.." He muttered to himself. He watched as they took aim, his eyes soon followed their line of fire. There was a man standing in front of a building grasping a young woman, obviously holding her hostage. Pushing his way through the crowd he finally made his way to the front of the pack. His eyes narrowed slightly as he stared at the military. He then looked at the building and spotted a decorative statue hanging from the side of the building.
A smirk appeared on his face as he ran from the crowd and snuck around to the side of the building. Clapping his hands together he slammed his hands against the building. His eyes traveled the light path and watched as it hit the bird-like statue. He slowly watched it come alive and detach itself from the building.
It dropped down the side of the building at lightening speeds and knocked the man a few feet away from the woman. He watched the woman sprint towards the uniformed men, tears streaming from her face.
The crazed man got up and rose his hands to the sky, this revealed the transmutation circles tattooed on his arms. Al merely smirked and watched the bird dodge all of the man's attacks. It then went straight towards the man's arm. It rubbed its stone beak against the man's arms until they bled and the transmutation circles were obsolete.
With that the military rushed over and captured the man. Al let out a sigh of relief as the bird returned to the top of the building and became still.
"Alphonse Elric.."
He turned towards the sound of his name. He watched as the military personal made their way towards him. He quickly bowed hoping to not be punished. He knew the military was finicky with civilians interfering.
"Please excuse me for interfering. I just believed that killing the man would be unnecessary. I also did not spot any alchemists among this group of militia so I took action." A thought then clicked in his head. "You know my name..?" He then slowly straightened up and looked at the woman. Her eyes were soft and a slight smile grazed her face. "I'm sorry..but I don't know you..should I?"
He watched as the woman's smile faded slightly, but the softness in her eyes did not falter. "I heard you'd lost your memory.."
He stood there, confused and slightly uncomfortable, but continued to wait patiently for her to introduce herself.
"Riza Hawkeye, 1st Lieutenant of the Amestris military..I knew you and your brother, very well.."
Alphonse smiled brightly, "Really?!" He knew his eyes had begun to light up at the sound of his brother.
He saw her attention turn back towards the other military officers. "Perhaps you can come with me.."
Alphonse hesitated for a moment, he didn't want to go to central, and something was telling him not to go there. "Where exactly would that be..?"
He could tell that she was starting to feel uneasy as well.
"Where the headquarters is located in this city..We've been stationed here for a few days to regroup and collaborate with the military stationed in the west."
This put him at ease and his smile slowly returned, "Alright. Lead the way Lieutenant."
Story Notes:
AN: A little back story. This story came to me out of the blue. I knew I wanted to write a fanfic about The Conqueror of Shambala, no matter how much negative feedback the movie got. I really loved to see Al running around in his body. I also loved seeing Edward in the real world. But that might just be me. This story will also be short, about 3 or 4 chapters. I just really hope people like it and don't let their opinions cloud their judgment of my story.
